Getting round the bend

In order to manoeuvre special transports such as this wooden construction through the many roundabouts and curves in Austrian Tyrol district, the highest degree of flexibility is required. This is because the freight is so long that it can only be handled by a vehicle combination in which the trailer is not directly connected to the tractor unit. This is why a strong two-axle trailer came into play alongside the three-axle truck from MAN. The self-steering trailer is equipped with BPW running gear which can carry twelve tonnes per axle. HTS Transporte thus brought the timber construction for an indoor swimming pool safely to its destination. The company has been in family hands for more than 60 years and has the right special vehicle for every unusual transport item.
