A strong partner at your back

When the rape fields blossom bright yellow now in summer, the harvest time of the oil crop is approaching. And that means hard work for men like these, who lean against the tyres of the harvesting vehicle during a break for a snack. They have BPW behind them: they can rely on the strong axles from Wiehl. When harvesting rapeseed, it is particularly important to determine the right time: The rapeseed pods must be brown, the rapeseed grains black and the weather should not be too wet. Whether the entire pod is really brown and not still green in the lower part – especially in the area from which the most yield is possible – can only be seen by looking closely. Then the rapeseed can be used to produce healthy vegetable oil for the kitchen or biodiesel as fuel for the tank.
